Jodie Lopez - The EdTech Ninja Superhero!
I am rather unique in the education technology field. Imagine me as Gordon Ramsay for Edtech. Just without the swearing. Or shouting. Or cooking. Just the critical friend bit. I have worked for major Edtech companies, specialised in learning platforms and assessment, been an award-winning primary school teacher specialising in using technology across the curriculum, and worked in sales and customer service before that for many years. All of that knowledge and expertise is why I do what I do and why you should get in touch.
I have to admit that this consultancy is not my first job. It isn’t even my second or third. It is about my 30th. No, I know! I don’t even moisturise. But we digress. I have had a lot of jobs. Not the best example of a CV for a job with you. Yet this is why I am your ideal consultant. I have no interest in hanging around on a retainer every month forever. I would rather tell you quickly all my ideas and expertise for moving you forward. I will then fly off into the night with my Edtech ninja superhero cape and leave you to get on with what you do best! You tell me your challenges and I will find a way to meet them. My strengths are in trouble shooting, and finding easy and effective ways to maximise what you have.
I believe in every thing on a budget. It’s my working class, below-the-breadline upbringing you see. Technology should not cost a small fortune to the customer, nor should it cost the earth to develop things that work for teachers and classrooms and pupils the world over. I also believe consultants should not cost the earth either (even ones with capes), so am priced accordingly. That is not to say that I think everything should be ‘cheap’ - we all know the heartache of the hard-won fairground prize that fell apart as soon as we got it home. (I’m fine honestly, I’ll get past this) But I do think everything should have value. If it isn’t making an impact in schools then we need to change something. I am here to help you find out what that something is so we can make it work.
Whether you are a school needing to implement technology across the curriculum on a budget, or an Edtech business needing help with customer engagement and retention, or you are holding an event and need speakers on either of these topics, get in touch! I mostly work remotely from home - I am a superhero mummy too, you see - which helps keeps your costs down as well as mine. But in exceptional cases and for a little extra bus fare can speak at conferences and lead INSET as required with enough notice.
